Christchurch Earthquake

Welcome to our blog site where students at the Royal Children's Hospital can follow our project. Our aim is to gain an understanding of the Christchurch earthquake and how it has affected the young people of Christchurch. Our hope is to fundraise money through our projects that will benefit those affected.

Project Wrapping up

The last 3 weeks we have been continuing to sell our products.  We have almost reached out project funds goal which is fantastic!!  Thank you so much everyone who has been supporting our project, especially those who have helped devour over 2000 chocolates :)

We will be stepping up the selling process over the next 3-4 weeks to try and sell the remaining wristbands and pins.  And of course a big thanks to Recognition ID  who have donated a large quantity of  these fantastic pens
Pens avaiable for a small donation

We are still waiting to hear from students at Chinallwood Intermediate  in regards to what they would like the money to go towards. We have asked them for their suggestions by October 17th whereby we will post  a poll on the blog for RCH students to vote for their preferred wellbeng activity.
The project will be wrapped up by the end of October and the money will be presented to the school or activity organisation early November.

Thanks again everyone and we look forward to the end result :)

A big thank you to Dave and The Station Hotel

Last Monday  RCH teachers met with Dave, the manager from The Station Hotel. We had approached him the week before to see if he would be interested in supporting out project by selling our merchandise during the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
We took wristbands, pins ans chocolates to the meeting and Dave was  extremely kind and jumped aboard to support us.
Dave was very impressed with all the work from the students and thinks the public will get behind the project as it is such a worthy cause.
Thank you to all the hard work of students so far and thanks to the work experience girls who quickly whipped up some promotional posters.
Stay tuned as Dave is gong to email is weekly an let us know how our merchandise is selling.   A very big thank you again Dave!  Your generosity and kindness is very much appreciated and will make a huge difference to the students at Chisnallwood Intermediate.

THANK YOU
