Christchurch Earthquake

Welcome to our blog site where students at the Royal Children's Hospital can follow our project. Our aim is to gain an understanding of the Christchurch earthquake and how it has affected the young people of Christchurch. Our hope is to fundraise money through our projects that will benefit those affected.

THE RESULTS ARE IN. (READ THIS)

The rubber wristbands came out on top with flying colours to be the first fundraising  item  for the Christchurch earthquake.

While we are waiting for approval, tell us some colours & slogans for the bands.

For example:
*red & black - for the Christchurch colours
*green & yellow/black & white - for the New Zealand & Australia coming together.
*blue & yellow - blue for the sea or sky & yellow for the sun or sand.

slogans could be:
*what's cracklacking
*hand in hand
*chch & rch unite
*c'mon! you can do it

Once you have posted your ideas, design an example on your ipad and email it to

  1. I think maybe the colors can be red and black for the Christchurch colors would be good because it's about Christchurch and we should do colors that represent the actual place. A good slogan could be. Be brave and stay strong for those you have lost their place and their family and friends. I think the other slogans are great but I just thought of a new one they could probably use and with the colors I just thought that they could use something that represents the topic.

  8. Another idea for a slogan for the wristbands is:

    "Help Fill the Cracks"

  9. I like the fill in the cracks slogan idea but i think the wristband colours should be red and black because where trying to help Christchurch not NZ and red and black are Christchurches colours so it just makes it more personal to Christchurch that way.

  10. I really like the slogans 'hand in hand' and 'help fill the cracks', however I do not think they can be in red and black.... the colours could give off the wrong impression to the one of the worst teams in the AFL.
