Christchurch Earthquake

Welcome to our blog site where students at the Royal Children's Hospital can follow our project. Our aim is to gain an understanding of the Christchurch earthquake and how it has affected the young people of Christchurch. Our hope is to fundraise money through our projects that will benefit those affected.

Weekly update (June 9th)

Well it's Friday again and another week had flown by! G-Dawg is  flatchat today with appointments so I (8th floor teacher) have offered to do this post.  We are almost ready to place an order for our first fundraising idea - wristbands. With 8 days to go before voting closes, it looks like the favoured wristband is red and black with  'help fill the cracks' embossed or printed. 500 wristbands are slightly in front with  1000 being the second most preferred quantity. Don't forget we could contact local schools in the area to jump aboard and we do have 4 or so months to sell them .  If you haven't voted yet, make sure you do :)

We are still waiting for the letters from the students at Chisnallwood Intermediate. Remember we need to be patient given the current situation in Christchurch and  acknowledge the letters may take a little longer in the post.

There has been more great  fundraising ideas suggested and we will be looking at exploring these next week. See the 'Help - more tasks to do please' post to see how you can help.

Again, thanks very much for all your help and fabulous ideas. Keep them coming  :)
